Strollers to Seniors and Everyone in Between

Young and old alike turned out to see the new Mendon Public Library this morning (June 27) as it opened for the first time. Strollers easily navigated the wide aisles between book shelves. Seniors and teens sat on either side of the fireplace, reading. People of all ages signed up for the library’s summer reading program. Here are some scenes of the new library and its public.

Tricia Puccio found it easy to navigate through the library's shelves pushing three-month-old Zoey Marcano in her stroller.

Alice Bovay was looking forward to enjoying the fireplace in the cold months, too.

On the other side of the fireplace from Mrs. Bovay (see photo, above), Ali Lawrence started on the first book in her stack. Lawrence will be a senior at HFL next fall.

Natalie Loncz was loving the sunshine ... and the crayons ... in the interim children's room.

Loved the pictures. Can’t wait to see the new library. Missed the opening today, but plan to be there tomorrow. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to make this happen.
